RCMP Manitoba says in a matter of hours, a string of violent events occurred in Powerview, a community along Winnipeg River. Authorities believe they are responsible for several hours of continuous violent incidents, including multiple robberies in the area, on April 28. Powerview RCMP responded to a report of a possible gunshot at a residence in Powerview. Officers attended and confirmed that a window had been shot. No one was injured, RCMP Manitoba says.

The change will take effect at 8 a.m. April 12.  The First Nations police service will be the investigating police service for all calls for service once the change takes effect.
