Residents launch ballot-question committee, hire lawyer

A group of Swampscott residents has officially launched a Save Our Schools campaign against the town s proposed 900-student elementary school that voters will, at some point, weigh in on. The ballot-question committee is also hiring a lawyer for its fight.
“We’re for smaller schools for smaller children,” said Gail Brock, who chairs the Save Our Schools ballot committee. “We’re for sharing the traffic and congestion that occurs around the schools and for preserving the wetlands and endangered specials that live in the area.”

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) â A photographer in Tallahassee is working to making talking about mental health easier. She hopes to inspire those conversations through a portrait project called âFaces of Hope.â
When it comes to mental health, finding the right words can be tough. âPeople are scared to talk about it,â explained photographer, Katie Clark. She said she has been living with mental illness herself. âI have bipolar one disorder with psychotic features.â

HARPSWELL, Maine Habitat for Humanity 7 Rivers kicked off its 28th annual Spring Walk to Build fundraiser on Sunday. The annual fundraising campaign, which is normally one large walk, is being split into multiple small-scale walks this year due to the pandemic. People can participate in the walks through June 30th. Donating to events like this, donating online, anything that anyone can do to help makes a big big difference, especially right now, said Habitat for Humanity 7 River Executive Director Adam Lacher.
Embattled homeowner’s property going up for auction in Greenfield
Western Housing Court Judge Robert G. Fields has authorized Witman Properties, of Holyoke, to auction off Douglas Sky Wight’s property at 237 Conway St. in Greenfield in order to satisfy the priority lien against it.
