The murder trial involving the death of Terry Barber will be heard in a Rutherford County Courtroom next year (2022). 68-Year-old Barber was a long time Rutherford County resident who was well known for selling college memorabilia and SEC clothing.
In June of 2019, a friend of Mr. Barber went to his Christiana home to check on him, which is when Barber was found deceased. Detectives from the Rutherford County Sheriff s Office were called to the residence on Walnut Grove Road and discovered that Barber had been beaten and robbed. Barber s lifeless body was located on the floor of his home and reported that his hands and feet were bound together.

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) â Multiple fire crews worked together to extinguish a house fire in Rutherford County Friday afternoon.
Rutherford County Fire and Rescue (RCFR) was joined by the Christiana Volunteer Fire Department, Rutherford County EMS and the Rutherford County Sheriff s Office in their response to the fire on Delbridge Road around 4 p.m.
When the crews arrived, they found the home with heavy smoke and fire emanating from the back. Fire crews were met with poor visibility conditions, but did an excellent job locating the fire and containing it to the floor where it originated, said Lt. Andy Haston.

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, North Carolina (WLOS) A man is facing several charges, including trafficking methamphetamine and driving while license revoked, after leading deputies on a chase Friday night in Rutherford County.
Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office deputies said they attempted to stop a motorcycle for a traffic violation in the area of Ferry Road and Island Ford Road. The motorcyclist initially pulled over but sped away when the deputy exited his vehicle.
A short chase ended with the suspect driving down a dirt road near Barkley Drive on Goodes Creek Church Road and running on foot into the woods, deputies said. Authorities set up a perimeter. They found the suspect lying in a thicket and took him into custody.
