Preparations are being finalised for the 12th Beef Australia event with the gates to officially open on Monday.
The first day, dubbed People’s Day, will be one of the busiest days with the public holiday.
Visitors will have the chance to check out 454 trade fair exhibits and 35 food outlets.
Throughout the week there will also be 48 different ticketed events and 34 seminars and symposiums and 22 events in the Ken Coombe Tech Yards.
There is also a new national line-up of celebrity chefs, doing dinner and lunches.
Speaking to the media just days before opening day, Beef Australia Chairman Bryce Camm was eager to see it coming together.

Rockhampton Regional Council has shared the incredibly sad news that the baby of Rockhampton Zoo chimpanzees, Samantha and Alon, was delivered stillborn yesterday afternoon.
Parks, Sport and Public Spaces Councillor, Cherie Rutherford said the news is heartbreaking and something that will be felt deeply by the community.
“It is absolutely devastating to share this news,” Cr Rutherford said.
“Zoo staff, working closely with veterinarians and a gynaecologist, made the difficult decision to step in and assist Samantha with the delivery of the baby yesterday.

Pools closing for winter
As the temperature drops, Rockhampton Regional Council has confirmed Gracemere and Mount Morgan pools will be closed for the winter from this Saturday 1 May.
The 42
nd Battalion pool in North Rockhampton will close a little later, on Monday 17 May.
Councillor for Parks, Sports and Public Spaces Cherie Rutherford said the 2nd World War Memorial Aquatic Centre would remain open throughout the winter.

“Now the temperatures are dropping we will be closing the non-heated pools, as the water is becoming a little too chilly for most to enjoy.

Exciting changes ahead for Rocky’s reuse shop
The Lakes Creek Road Waste Management Facility (LCRWMF) reuse store is about to get an upgrade, with social enterprise Resource Recovery Australia (RRA) ready to set up shop.
Waste and Recycling Councillor Shane Latcham said he was excited to see the changes ahead for the well-loved reuse store.
“For the last 5 years we have worked very closely with Queensland Metal Recyclers (QMR) in running the Trendy Trash store, and we would really like to thank their staff for all of their work and efforts over those years,” said Cr Latcham.
