(WMBF) – One teenager is in custody and another is wanted in connection to a shooting that killed a man and hurt another teen last month in Robeson County. Brendon Jones (Source: Robeson County Sheriff s Office) Investigators arrested a 17-year-old juvenile on Tuesday and charged them with murder, attempted murder, robbery, conspiracy and larceny of a firearm. Brendon Jones, 18, is wanted on the same charges. Deputies were called to the 2600 block of Highway 72 W. in reference to two people shot.

(WMBF) – An arrest has been made in a case where authorities said a family dispute turned deadly. The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Nicoya Dial on Tuesday afternoon and charged him with voluntary manslaughter in Neil Locklear’s shooting death. Deputies were called to a shooting early Monday morning on Lewis McNeill Road in Red Springs. Locklear was found with injuries and was taken to the hospital where he died as soon as he arrived to McLeod Medical Center in Florence, according to investigators.

Red Springs NC man charged in fatal McNeill Road shooting of relative

LUMBERTON A Red Springs man was arrested Tuesday afternoon on a charge of voluntary manslaughter in a fatal shooting early Monday. Nicoya Dial, 28, is charged in the death of Neil Ray Locklear, 32, according to a news release from the Robeson County Sheriff s Office. Deputies were called to 139 Lewis McNeill Road in Red Springs shortly after 1 a.m. Monday where Locklear was found with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at  McLeod Medical Center in Florence S.C., the release said. Locklear was shot during a dispute with Dial, officials said. The two men are related, according to the release.

Teen arrested, second suspect sought in Lumberton shooting case

LUMBERTON A 17-year-old was arrested Wednesday, and an 18-year-old is being sought, in the Lumberton shooting death of a man March 15. The 17-year-old male is charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy with a dangerous weapon and larceny of firearm, according to the news release from the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office. The juvenile, whose name was not released, is being held in the Cumberland Regional Juvenile Detention Center. Warrants for identical charges have been issued for Brendon Deon Jones, 18, of Fairmont, the release said.

(WMBF) – The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office said a family dispute has turned into a homicide investigation. Deputies were called on Monday to a shooting along Lewis McNeill Road in Red Springs. They said they found 32-year-old Neil Locklear with injuries and took him to McLeod Medical Center in Florence where he later died. Investigators said the shooting was a result of an altercation with a family member. The investigation into the case is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
