STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Hundreds of seniors and Holocaust survivors were recently vaccinated against the coronavirus (COVID-19), thanks to a partnership between the Joan & Alan Bernikow Jewish Community Center (JCC) of Staten Island and the borough president’s office.
The two-day pop-up vaccination clinic was onsite at the JCC in Sea View to distribute 650 vaccines through VitaCare Pharmacy.
The clinic was part of the JCC’s efforts to spread awareness about vaccine safety and help the borough’s senior population.
In addition, the borough president’s office helped 80 Holocaust survivors and vulnerable seniors register for vaccinations at other sites.
