NOIDA: The Noida Federation of Apartment Owners Associations (NOFAA) have written to the Noida Authority CEO demanding CCTV camera surveillance in sectors which do not have security boundary walls or have pockets which are isolated or ill-lit for safety and security of residents. Some of these sectors include sectors 50, 61, 7x, 137 etc.
“With regard to safety and security concerns in Noida, we have raised the concerns to Ritu Maheshwari CEO Noida Authority that several sectors which do not have security boundary walls, often face law and order related issues. Especially in pockets, which are isolated and are less lit. It becomes an easy target for chain and mobile snatchers and other anti-social activities. This has scaled more during the pandemic era. We have therefore requested from CEO Noida for CCTV camera surveillance in such sectors to ensure that such sectors are secured. We may identify such sectors by way of a priority list. NOIDA: The Noida Authority has claimed to have unearthed a Rs 90-crore scam pertaining to acquisition of land from Gejha Tilapatabad village for the development of a sector in Gautam Budh Nagar.

The Authority CEO has already ordered a probe so as to fix the accountability of officials, while the assistant legal officer has been suspended for his alleged involvement in the scam. The district administration has also been asked to issue recovery certificates to the owners of these nine properties.
Noida: Kondli and Advant underpasses on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway are likely to be completed by July and September, respectively, about three months before their deadline.
While both projects have been in the pipeline for years, work picked up pace only after July 2020.
During an inspection on Thursday, Noida Authority CEO asked officials to expedite work on the projects.
“Officials have been asked to follow all pollution control guidelines set by the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board. They will also ensure that water from sewage treatment plants are used for sprinkling at the construction sites (to control dust pollution),” said Ritu Maheshwari, CEO, Noida Authority. Both underpasses are being constructed using box pushing technology in which prefabricated concrete boxes are placed and pushed against each other to reinforce a structure. Following this, retaining walls are built to complete it. Officials said the technology saves time and also makes a structure
