The Henderson County Chamber of Commerce recently honored several businesses that experienced growth in 2020, a year that hit small business owners particularly hard due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Henderson County Commissioner Mike Edney has announced he will vote against the proposed conditional rezoning request for an asphalt plant in East Flat Rock.
Only one county in the state is highlighted green in the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services most recent COVID-19 Alert System Report – Henderson County.
The ranking system is color coded, starting with green, the least severe distinction, to denote low community spread; light yellow for moderate community spread; yellow for significant community spread; orange for substantial community spread; and red, the most severe, for critical community spread.
The ranking is included in NCDHHS’ most recent COVID-19 County Alert System information, which was released May 13 and includes data from April 25 to May 8. The report shows no red counties, 19 orange counties, 56 yellow counties, 24 light yellow counties, and one green county.
