Counterfeit $100 American notes surface in the Upper Ottawa Valley

Article content PETAWAWA – The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating after two separate instances of counterfeit $100 American bank notes being found in the Town of Petawawa. The counterfeit notes were found on Victoria Street and on Petawawa Boulevard with both instances occurring on Tuesday, May 18. Theft of signs from Pembroke and Area Airport under investigation

Article content The Upper Ottawa Valley detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating after two metal “No Trespassing” signs were stolen from the property at the Pembroke and Area Airport on Len Hopkins Drive. Theft of signs from Pembroke and Area Airport under investigation Back to video The Pembroke and Area Airport has recently experienced issues with people trespassing on their property on foot, walking dogs, in vehicles and using off-road vehicles. The signs had been posted to deter such activity and the public is reminded that it is against the law to trespass on airport property. Anyone found trespassing on airport property may be charged under the Trespass to Property Act of Ontario.
