On July 21, shortly after 6:30 p.m. officers from the Killaloe detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a 911 call at a motel on Highway 60 in North Algona Wilberforce. Officers located a 40-year-old male with a serious injury. Despite life saving measures by County of Renfrew Paramedics, the male succumbed to his injuries at scene.

Two males were arrested at the scene in connection with the death. The identities of the deceased person and the accused individuals are not being released at this time, according to a police release issued Tuesday evening.
