DULUTH, Minn. – Happening now through Wednesday, Mar. 17, you’re encouraged to treat yourself to a McDonald’s Shamrock Shake to help those in need.
The annual Shamrock Shake Fundraiser donates 25 cents per sale of each shake to help Ronald McDonald House Charities across the Midwest.
Since 2014, more than $600,000 has been raised, which goes directly back into multiple Ronald McDonald House locations.
The Ronald McDonald House® is a home-away-from-home for families who must travel hundreds or more miles to seek medical treatment for their kids.
The House keeps families close to the medical care and support they need during a child’s serious illness or injury.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. â Families staying at one of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City, Missouriâs Longfellow House will soon enjoy a totally renovated living room thanks to Tamara Day.
As the host of Bargain Mansions on HGTV, Day renovates homes around Kansas City. She also runs a design firm based in Prairie Village, Kansas, called Growing Days Home.
The firm came up with the concept for the new living room which currently features plain white walls and hard wood furniture.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego celebrates opening of new Vertex Foundation Guest Services Office and Family Welcome Center

To support families with a hospitalized child, the Vertex Foundation funded a new Guest Services Office and Family Welcome Center at Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego as well as additional support for the organization’s meals and overnight stays. The newly named Vertex Foundation Guest Services Office provides a private and comfortable space to meet with staff when they check in at the House as well as support services throughout their stay. The additional meal and lodging program support will provide funding for more than 25,000 meals, served free of charge, as well as more than 300 nights of lodging for those families staying at the House.
