5:45 p.m. update: The severe thunderstorm warnings for Travis County was lifted shortly after 5 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
Ethan Williams, a meteorologist for the weather service, said storms that brought golf and tennis ball-sized hail to parts of Williamson and Travis counties have moved east of the Austin area. There may be some light lingering showers for us this evening, but another severe storm threat will crop back up starting tomorrow, he added.
