Two men are facing felony charges after authorities located more than two pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop in June of last year in Lafayette County.
During a search of the vehicle, Lafayette County deputies say they found a total of 2.17 pounds of marijuana.
Michael Eugene Jensen, 48, and Rick William Lawson, 40, both of Versailles, are charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Additionally, Lawson is charged with a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid and a Class E Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Bond for each defendant has been set at $25,000 cash or surety.

A police report says an officer responded to a residence to assist medics with an overdosed patient. Central dispatch advised that the caller stated that the patient had overdosed on heroin.
Melanie Hilbrenner met officers at the front door of the home and officers were taken to a man who was unresponsive. Officers also reported seeing a loaded AR 15 rifle and large knives throughout the home within reach of a 6-year-old child. They also located drug-related items- including methamphetamine and heroin as well as several used syringe needles, two metal spoons with white residue and burn marks and a few baggies containing white residue.

Multiple felony charges have been filed against a 45-year-old Winchester, Ohio, man after a high-speed pursuit on I-70 in Lafayette County on December 14.
According to a report from a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper, the chase reached as much as 120 mph. During the pursuit, the driver ripped open the bag of suspected methamphetamine and threw the contraband out of his window. The driver also discarded numerous other large bags of a crystallized white substance throughout the pursuit.
Stop sticks were used by authorities, however the suspect vehicle continued fleeing. The driver eventually stopped the vehicle in a business parking lot, then fled on foot. He was apprehended shortly thereafter at gunpoint by a trooper.
