2023 Presidency: Ondo will go same direction as Akeredolu

Share The Ondo State Deputy Governor, Mr Lucky Ayedatiwa, on Thursday said, the state governor, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu would give direction for the people of the state in the process that would bring the emergence of All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the 2023 Presidential primary election. Ayedatiwa who stated this while receiving the South West Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA) 2023, on behalf of Akeredolu, in Akure, commended the group for championing the emergence of APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the next President of Nigeria. Aiyedatiwa who commended the group said Tinubu is a friend of Ondo State and a nationalist who accommodates everyone regardless of ethnoreligious background, an attributes the incoming President must possess to unite Nigeria.

Industrial Court reinstates sacked NASU chairman at AAU

Share Justice Aduola Adewemimo of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria, sitting in Benin City, Edo State has ordered the reinstatement of Mr Peter Asigene, the Chairman of the Non-Academic Staff Union of Education and Associated Institutions (NASU) of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma AAU), Edo State. In suit No: NICN/BEN/26/2020 Asigene Peter against AAU and others which included the Edo State Commissioner for Education as defendants, Justice Adewemimo yesterday voided the dismissal of Asigene from the services of the university as a result of the intervention and interference of the commissioner in the disciplinary process of the institution. The court held that the former Edo State Commissioner for Education lacked the powers to alter and or change the decision of the Governing Council of the AAU.
