LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Officials with the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department (LLCHD) report four new COVID deaths in the community, with the total now at 141.
The individuals were identified as a man in his 60s and two women in their 70s and 80s who were in long-term care facilities, and a man in his 90s who was hospitalized.
Additionally, 189 new lab-confirmed cases were reported, bringing the community total to 21,295.
The county is reporting 6,307 people have recovered from COVID-19. While the weekly positivity rate is 26%.

Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird and Health Director Pat Lopez announced today, the arrival of the first doses of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine in Lincoln. Vaccine supply is limited though.
Health officials will continue using a phased approach and vaccinating priority groups in Phase 1A, which includes health care personnel providing care and treatment to COVID-19 patients.
Phase 1A also includes emergency medical technicians (EMTs) as well as staff and residents of long-term care facilities.
