People in Liverpool are expected to flock to the city centre when non-essential shops including Primark reopen when lockdown eases. Prime Minister Boris Johnson laid out his roadmap for coming out of lockdown on Monday, which will see all non-essential shops including clothes, homeware and betting shops reopen, provisionally, on April 12. During lockdown, Primark shoppers have become increasingly frustrated with the closure of the stores and not being able to buy items online. Although the date is not set in stone, shoppers are desperate to head to the shops for some much-needed retail therapy.

The tile retailer has signed a 10-year lease to occupy an 8,000 sq ft unit at the Old Swan complex.
Tile Mountain’s Merseyside showroom is its fourth site overall, adding to existing outlets in Stoke, Stockport and Birmingham.
Under the deal with landlord The Derwent Group, Tile Mountain will occupy the unit next to B&Q at Derwent Group’s Liverpool Shopping Park, located on Edge Lane.
National bed retailer Dreams also recently confirmed it would join the park, taking the 10,000 sq ft unit at the junction of Edge Lane and Rathbone Road next to the Tile Mountain showroom.

Dreams will occupy a 10,021 sq. ft unit within the lifestyle-focused part of Liverpool Shopping Park. Fronting Edge Lane, this area already houses B&Q.
At White City, the retailer has renewed its lease for a further 10 years and will move from its current corner location to a larger unit, which increases its footprint by almost 2,000 sq ft.
Further White City tenants include Currys PC World, Halfords, Wren and Furniture Village as well as M&S Food Hall, Iceland Warehouse, Aldi, Nando’s and Costa.
