DENHAM SPRINGS - A bicyclist was found dead after what appeared to be a hit-and-run crash, Livingston Parish officials said.
Deputies were notified of a body found on the side of Buddy Ellis Road around 7 a.m. Monday. The Livingston Parish Sheriff s Office believe the crash likely happened sometime after midnight.
The sheriff s office identified the victim as Jacob Chalker, 21. Chalker was last seen leaving work off Juban Road on his bicycle late Sunday night, according to investigators.

LIVINGSTON PARISH, La. (WVUE) - Shilah Baglio, the daughter of Jason Baglio, who performed as an Elvis tribute artist under the name âJayson Alfano,â has started a fundraiser to cover funeral expenses.
âWe are trying to raise money to lay our Elvis to rest. Anything helps. Everything is welcome. We thank everyone for all the prayers, this is hard, but together we can be okay,â she says.
Baglio was shot multiple times and killed around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 8, according to the Livingston Parish Sheriffâs Office.

Jason Baglio with several gunshot wounds. Baglio, who performed as the king of rock and roll in Denham Springs under the name Jayson Alfano, died from his injuries.
Authorities said that 28-year-old

The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office said that deputies responded to reports of gunshots at an address in Denham Springs around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, The Advocate reported. They found Jason Baglio, who had been shot multiple times and died from his injuries. Police say Trace Pigott was the shooter and his father, Tommy Ray Pigott, was present during the shooting. It wasn t immediately clear whether either man had a lawyer who could comment on the charges.
