Shyheem Phillips, who was arrested around 4 p.m. Wednesday, has been charged with vehicle theft and kidnapping, according to officials.
“I’m proud of our Department,” said Cayce DPS Director Byron Snellgrove. “Our officers acted swiftly, followed every lead and investigated every detail. And I’m grateful for a caring community and the media who shared the information that helped us identify the suspect. We were able to quickly remove the person suspected of these crimes from the streets of Cayce and Lexington

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department says an Orangeburg man has been charged with stealing a truck from a West Columbia used car dealership. According to Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon, two witnesses say they saw a truck halfway through a fence and stuck in a ditch near the used car lot on East Steele Road. The witnesses also say they saw an individual running away from the truck.

Deputies say they found 20-year-old Andre Spencer McCartney hiding in the woods near the car lot. Officials say he was arrested and charged with grand larceny.

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WIS) - Deputies with Lexington County Sheriff’s Department have arrested a suspect in a fatal shooting that occurred at a business on Platt Springs Road on the morning of January 31.
Officials say that Regin Nicreis Oakman, 26, is charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Lexington County Coroner identified the victim in this crime as 39-year-old Michael Lewis Keaton of Gaston.

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– According to South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson, a Pelion man was arrested on charges connected to the sexual exploitation of a minor. Officials say 22-year-old Damon Dorman was arrested on January 27 by investigators with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department.

Authorities say Dorman has been charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, second degree and three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, third degree. Each of these charges carries a penalty of up to 10 years in prison
