Springfield News-Leader The Missouri Supreme Court ruled Thursday that a Medicaid expansion amendment passed by a majority of voters last August did not violate the state constitution, overturning a lower court ruling in a victory for proponents of expansion. Missouri s highest court unanimously determined that a circuit court judge was incorrect in ruling that Amendment 2, the 2020 ballot initiative passed by 53 percent of Missouri voters, was unconstitutional. The ruling will likely set the state on a path to expand its low-income health care program, MO HealthNet, to include roughly 275,000 additional Missourians.
