Police charge man after $2.5 million worth of cocaine seized
Organised Crime Squad detectives have charged a man and seized cocaine valued at $2.5 million following an investigation into the importation and supply of prohibited drugs.
In May this year, detectives from the State Crime Command’s Organised Crime Squad commenced an investigation into the activities of an alleged criminal syndicate involved in the importation and supply of prohibited drugs across NSW.
Acting on intelligence information, officers from Australian Border Force (ABF) intercepted a consignment of vehicle parts which arrived in Sydney from Germany earlier this month.
During a subsequent deconstruction, the consignment was found to contain 10kg of a white powder.
