As part of the expanding services within the Wyoming SBDC Network’s CARES Act Recovery Program, a one-stop, e-commerce site, called Shop Wyoming, has been released for Wyoming entrepreneurs. This site allows customers to shop and check out from multiple Wyoming-grown businesses at once and will give retailers the opportunity to reach new and existing customers on a local and national scale all within one unique, state-centric platform. There is no cost to participate, and you’ll receive an in-depth training upon registration.

It is becoming increasingly important that federal contractors implement a robust cybersecurity program. Why?
The No. 1 reason is to protect your company from unscrupulous people or organizations that want to hold your data for ransom, deliberately harm your company or steal your information. Another reason could be that your company wants to pursue contracts with the Department of Defense (DOD) and other federal agencies. Or, perhaps your company is interested in going after future Small Business Innovation Research or Small Business Technology Transfer contracts, or Other Transactional Agreements.

In today’s economy, branding is more important than ever. However, in my work with the Wyoming SBDC Network’s Market Research Center, I see a lot of companies that have neglected one critical element of branding their logos.
When you start a business, it is easy to fall into the trap of having your creative nephew produce your logo, or even use one of the online logo builders, or even just DIY (design it yourself). These tactics can work and have good results but, more often, what results is either extremely generic, poorly focused on the business, difficult to reproduce or just plain terrible.
