Jan 29, 2021 Jan 29, 2021 FRANKFORT — Community Action Agencies across Kentucky are now accepting applications for the Crisis Component of the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), this includes KCEOC Community Action Partnership, Inc. Open enrollment will run through March 31, 2021, or until designated funds are depleted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Qualified residents should apply at their local Community Action Agencies. To locate your local office, please call 800-456-3452. Many Kentuckians are still struggling from the financial hardships stemming from COVID-19, making the need for LIHEAP even greater this year, said Roger McCann, executive director of Community Action Kentucky. We actively encourage anyone that meets the eligibility requirements of the LIHEAP Crisis Component to reach out to their local Community Action Agency as soon as possible to apply.

Belmont Light announces Massachusetts Good Neighbor Energy Fund Community Content Belmont Light announces that the Massachusetts Good Neighbor Energy Fund is now open to all eligible Belmont households seeking assistance with electricity bills this winter.  The fund helps families and individuals impacted by a temporary crisis, like COVID-19, who don’t qualify for federal or state assistance through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program. The Good Neighbor Energy Fund’s 36th annual “Give the Gift of Warmth” campaign’s goal is to raise $500,000 and assist more than 1,500 households. “Families are experiencing a heightened urgency of need for assistance with the payment of their home heating bills due to a combination of colder temperatures and financial difficulties exacerbated by the coronavirus,” said Debbie Housley-Bottiglio, Belmont Light senior customer service representative and GNEF Committee member. “With this in mind, we ask all Belmont households
