NATIONAL Asparagus Day came to Evesham this week, with a special thanks to the areas care workers. As a special thank you, the first cut round of asparagus was delivered to Worcestershire Royal Hospital, with chief nurse Paula Gardner on hand to receive nearly 1,000 asparagus spears from Gus the Asparagus Man.
