An MIT graduate student wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a Yale University student in February has been arrested, authorities said Friday.
The US Marshals Service did not provide details of the arrest other than to say that Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force, in conjunction with the U.S. Marshals Middle District of Alabama and the Montgomery Police Department had captured fugitive Qinxuan Pan, according to spokesman James P. Stossel.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - The international manhunt for an MIT graduate student accused of killing a Yale University student has come to an end with his arrest in central Alabama.
The U.S. Marshal Service confirmed Friday the arrest of Qinxuan Pan in Montgomery, some 1,200 miles from Connecticut where he was being sought for the murder of 26-year-old Kevin Jiang.
The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task force took Qinxuan Pan, an MIT graduate student, into custody without incident in the 400 block of East Fairview Avenue in Montgomery. Marshals had offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to Pan’s arrest.

HORN LAKE, Miss. (WMC) - U.S. marshals arrested a teenager for murder Wednesday.
Police say 14-year-old boy Caleb Hamer was wanted on a second-degree murder warrant for shooting and killing 18-year-old Joseph Boose April 11 in Parkway Village.
The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force formerly known as the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force found Hamer at a home in Horn Lake.
According to a news release, Hamer tried to escape marshals by jumping from a second-story window. He wasn’t hurt in the jump but was arrested quickly after.
