New Delhi [India], January 7 (ANI): The Air Quality Index (AQI) in the national capital has been recorded at 200 with "moderate" category on Thursday morning, according to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR).
The air monitoring agency SAFAR said the AQI is likely to marginally deteriorate from poor to lower end of the very poor category on the 7th and 8th Jan.
Delhi's air becomes 'severe' with AQI recorded at 445 - According to the SAFAR, the calm surface winds led to trapping of pollutants near the surface and turned the air quality worse in the Delhi region.
