WILTON Warren County health officials say a recent underage drinking party attended by at least 50 people in a neighboring county has fueled a local outbreak of coronavirus cases.
The party, which included a sleepover, was held Dec. 18 in the town of Wilton and attended by high school students and recent graduates from high schools in Warren County.
Warren County Health Services said Monday that someone who attended the party was ill with COVID-19 and infected numerous others who were there, including at least 10 Warren County residents. New York state guidelines currently allow no more than 10 people to gather in a home at any given time.
