FOUR men were arrested after police seized a large quantity of drugs and cash during a raid on a house in Cheshire. Officers executed a search warrant at an address on Forster Street in Orford yesterday afternoon, Tuesday (April 27). This came after plain clothes officers performed a stop and search on a man on the same road at around 2.30pm due to ‘suspicious behaviour’. And a quartet of suspects from were detained on suspicion of possession of cannabis with intent to supply. Two of them, 32-year-old Joseph Anders and 34-year-old Steven Shaw - of Forster Street and Poole Avenue in Longford respectively - have since been charged with this offence.

Simon Dilorenzo left several bags of rubbish behind a storage container on Woodvale Close in Padgate in July last year, only metres away from his home. The 48-year-old, of Sealand Close, admitted fly-tipping at Warrington Magistrates Court on Wednesday, April 21, following an investigation by Warrington Borough Council’s environmental crime team. He had failed to attend two previous court hearing. Dilorenzo was fined £500 and ordered to pay costs of £500 plus a £30 victim surcharge. Council chief executive Steven Broomhead MBE said: “Unfortunately, we have seen an increase in fly-tipping during the pandemic.
