On Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at approximately 6:42 p.m., firefighters from Charles County responded to the area of 3120 Heathcote Road in Waldorf, for the reported house on fire.
On May 1, 2021 at 5:58 p.m., Charles County Emergency Services (911) received calls regarding multiple drowning victims in a pool at a residence in the 1200 block of Jefferson Lane in Waldorf.
April 13, 2021
On Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at approximately 3:45 p.m., firefighters from Waldorf and surrounding departments responded to 1007 Victoria Place in Waldorf, for the reported kitchen on fire.
Crews arrived on the scene to find a 2-story middle of the row townhouse with smoke showing.
Firefighters immediately made entry and found a fire on the first floor. Crews extinguished the fire in under 5 minutes, and upon further investigation, crews found small extensions into the first floor ceiling and second floor.
The fire was extinguished in under 20 minutes, with crews operating on the scene for approximately one hour.
During a primary/secondary search of the residence, crews from Waldorf Engine 31 found the family pet “Yorkie” and brought him outside to awaiting emergency medical personnel who provided oxygen to the fury friend. The dog was turned over to it’s owner with no injuries.
January 20, 2021
UPDATE 1/20/2021: On Sunday, January 17 at 4:52 p.m., officers responded to the area of Billingsley Road near St. Patricks Drive in Waldorf for the report of a motor vehicle crash.
A preliminary investigation showed the driver of a Jeep was traveling southbound on St Patricks Drive when he struck the rear of another car also traveling on St Patrick’s Drive. No one was injured in that crash; however, the driver of the Jeep fled, drove through a red light at Billingsley Road and struck a Toyota Camry which was westbound on Billingsley Road. The collision sent both vehicles into a wooded area.
