Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision in Washington County Saturday evening. At about 5:20 p.m. a 16-year-old driver from Riverside was westbound in a Chevy Trailblazer at the intersection of 150th Street and Highway 218 when they were attempting to cross southbound traffic, according to Iowa State Patrol. The driver pulled out as 73-year-old Agustin Rodriguez Muneton of Ainsworth was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee in the southbound inside lane. The Chevy pulled out as the Jeep was passing, striking the Chevy on its driver’s side. Muneton and a passenger were both transported by Riverside EMS to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Riverside Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
