Crowne Plaza Dubai Marina has promoted its EAM to the position of operations director after exceling in his role for almost two years.
Rikhsibay Tursunov has been with the property since its pre-opening phase and has been described by the GM at pivotal for the hotel s operations and F&B success. In his new role, he will take on all operational functions of the property, helping streamline operations and ensuring the hotel is hitting market demands. He will also have a hand in guest experience, quality of service, hotel efficiency and risk mitigation.
Tursunov has been in the industry for more than 25 years, with much of that time spent within IHG. One of his earliest positions was in 1996, where he worked in the F&B department for IHG in Uzbekistan. In 2003, he moved to Abu Dhabi as assistant restaurant manager of InterContinental in the area, before becoming director of catering and convention services for Crowne Plaza in Dubai.

Coetzer brings with him over 17 years experience in hospitality across leading luxury brands such as Anantara Resorts, The Westin, W Hotels, naked Retreats and Le Meridien in stunning resort destinations such as Mauritius, Maldives, Thailand, China and South Africa. In his most recent role as General Manager Coetzer was instrumental in launching the first Anantara resort in Mauritius and delivering innovative guest experiences at Ananatara Iko Mauritius Resort & Villas.
InterContinental Parramatta will be the 11th InterContinental Hotel & Resort in Australasia
The world’s largest luxury hotel brand, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, is set to arrive in Greater Western Sydney with the opening of InterContinental Parramatta, in partnership with owner Holdmark Property Group.
Scheduled to open in 2025, the impressive,
new-build InterContinental Parramatta will be part of a vibrant mixed-use development that also includes offices and a ground floor retail precinct. The building itself will be one of the most exciting high-rises to grace the city’s skyline, with the owners in the process of running an architectural competition to find a winning design.
