“The Fair must go on”: The New York State Fair canceled last summer, like so many other events, because of the coronavirus pandemic will make its return this summer, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced on Monday. There will be changes, though, and capacity will be limited.
Destiny USA reveals pandemic’s toll on the mall: plunging rent income and ‘uncertainty’

Syracuse, N.Y. Destiny USA’s rent revenues fell by nearly a third in 2020 as the largest shopping mall in New York struggled under the coronavirus shutdown.
A financial statement filed last week shows the mall received $14.6 million less in rents from its tenants last year than it did in 2019.
Carousel Center LP, the Pyramid Cos. entity that owns Destiny USA, reported that it took in $32.2 million in rents last year, down 31.2% from $46.8 million in 2019.

Regal Cinemas reopens at Destiny USA: See what movies are in theaters

Regal Cinemas is open again at Destiny USA after being closed for most of the past 13 months due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Regal Destiny USA, the Syracuse area’s largest movie theater, reopened Friday at 25% capacity; seats are reserved with at least two empty seats between groups. Face masks are required at all times, except when seated and eating or drinking. Social distancing, hand sanitizers and other Covid-19 safety measures are also in place.
Capacity limits for movie theaters in New York state will increase to 33% on Monday, April 26.
