Bryan Sanders had been under the care of Brendoncare Otterbourne Hill for just five weeks before his death at Southampton General. The 93-year-old had been admitted to the home from Winchester hospital due an increasing number of falls and becoming more frail. A post mortem concluded that a heart attack was the direct cause of death, with ischemic heart disease, Alzheimer s and a fractured neck of femur contributing. But at an inquest in Winchester Coroner s Court, Mr Sanders family were represented by solicitor John White who spoke with Brendoncare s head of quality control, Francesca Dekker.
