HO CHI MINH CITY (Vietnam News/ANN): Seafood exports are expected to fetch US$2.1 billion in the second quarter, a year-on-year increase of 10 per cent, according to the Việt Nam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP).
With their agility in exploring and diversifying markets, enterprises would continue to expand exports, it said.
It forecast shrimp export to top $980 million in Q2, a year-on-year increase of 10 per cent, and pangasius and marine product exports to increase by 7 per cent and 9.6 per cent to $712 million and $816 million.

HANOI (Vietnam News/ANN): Vietnam s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Đặng Đình Quý, has expressed his deep concern over the escalating tensions between Israelis and Palestinians with growing casualties.
He said Vietnam condemns the attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure, and stressed that while seeking solutions to the conflict’s root causes, acts of violence must be ended immediately and all the relevant parties must exercise self-restraint and not complicate the situation.
Vietnam asked the parties, particularly Israel, to respect international humanitarian law and exercise maximum self-restraint to minimise damage, including to essential infrastructure, and avoid civilian casualties as in line with the UNSC’s Resolution 2573.

HANOI (Vietnam News/ANN): Vietnam regrets the French court’s decision to reject the lawsuit of Trần Tố Nga to hold to account several multinational companies that produced and traded the toxic herbicide Agent Orange during the American war in Vietnam.
