THỪA THIÊN HUẾ (Vietnam News/ANN): The Vietnam Travel Aviation Co Ltd (Vietravel Airlines) on Monday (Dec 21) held a ceremony to welcome its 220-seat Airbus A321CEO plane which landed at Phú Bài International Airport in the central province of Thừa Thiên-Huế for the first time.
According to a Vietravel Airlines representative, in December, the firm quickly completed its fleet of three A321CEO planes. The first aircraft arrived in Vietnam on Dec 5 and the remaining two are expected to come to the country on Dec 24-25 and January 10,2021.

HANOI (Vietnam News/ANN): Vietnam s wood export turnover this year is expected to reach a record high of nearly US$12.5 billion despite impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic as well as risks from export markets and the country’s policy changes in controlling the legality of imported wood materials.

HANOI (Vietnam News/ANN): Cultural tourism is hoped to account for 20-25 per cent of Vietnam s total revenue of about US$130 billion from tourism by 2030, according to a project to build a national brand for cultural tourism that was recently approved by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
This is considered a step to concretise the development strategy of cultural industries and the Vietnamese tourism development strategy through the promotion of national cultural identity.
The project also aims to identify Vietnamese cultural tourism brands, focusing on heritage and culinary values, thereby forming a system of typical destinations and tourism products with high quality.

HO CHI MINH CITY (Vietnam News/ANN): Cold storage might soon become a rising star in the logistic sectors, property market researcher Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) Vietnam has said.
It told a seminar held last week to discuss trends in logistics that investors are already partial to cold storage facilities after online grocery sales skyrocketed during the pandemic, requiring more refrigerated warehouses close to buyers.
“There has been a spike in short-term logistics requirements directly linked to the immediate impact of the pandemic, particularly in relation to the significant expansion of online grocery spending, and the need to support critical health services such as vaccines distribution.”

HO CHI MINH CITY (Vietnam News/ANN): Vietnam and India have multiple collaboration opportunities in the pharmaceutical goods and medical equipment industries, experts have said.
Võ Tân Thành, director of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry in HCM City (VCCI), noted in an online conference held last week that India is Vietnam S third largest supplier of pharmaceutical products, with export turnover of US$198 million in the first nine months of 2020.
Vietnam s demand for these products is constantly rising, with per capita spending around $64 per year for pharmaceutical goods.
