Taguig police buy-bust yields P268,000 worth of shabu, illegal firearm

The confiscated shabu, firearm,and ammunition from the suspect (Taguig City Police Station / MANILA BULLETIN) Suspect Rowel Chan was nabbed by operatives in Brgy. Central Bicutan, Taguig for violation of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and Republic Act 10591, the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act. Seized from the suspect were three pieces of plastic sachets containing 39.4 grams of shabu worth P267,920, a .45 caliber pistol, and ammunition. The buy-bust operation was conducted by the Taguig City Police Station’s drug enforcement unit. Chan is now detained at Taguig police custodial facility and will face charges of selling, trading, and possession of dangerous drugs, and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

6 nabbed, P122.4-M shabu seized in Las Piñas drug sting OPERATIVES OF  the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested six persons who yielded some PHP122.4 million worth of shabu during a buy-bust in Las Piñas City on Wednesday.    In a report, PDEA spokesperson Derrick Carreon identified the suspects as Reyano Oraid, Khen Moreno, Efren Mangona, Abdulmunir Addin, Shay An Okamada, and a minor. The suspects were arrested during the operation at around 10:30 a.m. along C. Tionquiao st., Gatchalian Subdivision, Las Piñas City by operating units of PDEA, Philippine National Police (PNP), and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

Tacloban City Drug Enforcement Unit led by Captain Eliezer Abellon, under the supervision of Major Edwin Cañamaque, arrested Erwin Toledo, a watchlisted drug personality in Barangay Payapay of the city. Police, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, confiscated during the operation one sachet containing suspected, as a subject of sale; buy-bust money; and six sachets believed to containing shabu, which was recovered from the suspect s actual possession. The drug items have an estimated market value of P20,000 and estimated weight of 1 gram, police said in the report.
