Syracuse attackman Chase Scanlan pleaded not guilty to a fourth-degree charge of criminal mischief and a second-degree charge of harassment in his arraignment at the Syracuse City Court on Friday. A full no-contact order of protection for the victim was enacted against Scanlan and lasts until Nov. 7, 2021 against Scanlan, and it can be extended further if violated or if he misses his next court date on July 13 at 1:30 p.m.
Syracuse police arrested Scanlan outside of Manley Field House on Friday morning for a “domestic-related incident,” an SPD official confirmed to Inside Lacrosse, and SU Athletics announced on Friday afternoon that the junior was “suspended from athletic participation” after his arrest.

Syracuse, NY Syracuse lacrosse star Chase Scanlan was arrested Friday morning on his way into Manley Field House and booked into the county jail on a misdemeanor domestic violence-related charge.
Scanlan is due to be arraigned later today in Syracuse City Court. He will be automatically released under state law because the charge fourth-degree criminal mischief is not a crime for which bail can be set, Onondaga County District Attorney William Fitzpatrick told Syracuse.com | The Post-Standard.

Syracuse, N.Y. Syracuse University has suspended star lacrosse player Chase Scanlan from the team hours after his arrest Friday.
The university released a statement on Scanlan’s status moments before the team’s game against Robert Morris got underway inside the Carrier Dome.
“We were notified today that Chase Scanlan has been arrested by the Syracuse Police Department. The Department of Athletics immediately convened the Athletics Privileges Committee to evaluate and determine appropriate action,” the statement said.

Syracuse Orange attackman Chase Scanlan was arrested today, being charged for fourth-degree criminal mischief. Inside Lacrosse’s Terry Foy reported that Syracuse PD confirmed that Scanlan’s arrest was “for a domestic-related incident.”

Syracuse.com reporter Douglass Dowty reported that Scanlan is due for arraignment later this afternoon in Syracuse City Court. Dowty also notes that Scanlan will be automatically released according to New York State Law since bail cannot be set for a misdemeanor criminal mischief charge (per confirmation from Onondaga County District Attorney William Fitzpatrick).
