(WEAU) -Eight percent of COVID-19 tests came back positive in Wisconsin in the last 24 hours according to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services on Sunday. The state reports an increase of 308 positive tests making the total of COVID-19 cases since the beginning of the pandemic 603,098. 3,501 tests came back negative. Around 97% of cases in the state are considered recovered. The number of active COVID-19 cases sits at 8,133. Thirty more people have been hospitalized. The state’s number of COVID-19 hospitalizations since the start of the pandemic stands at 29,808.

MADISON, Wis. (WXOW) – Data released by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services on Friday said more than 2.5 million people have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Figures from DHS show 2,508,944 people in the state have received at least one dose of the vaccine. That translates to 43.1 percent of state residents according to DHS. The totals state that 1,965,655 people, or 33.8 percent of the state’s population, are now fully vaccinated for COVID-19. In Western Wisconsin to date, 119,128 people have received at least one dose of the vaccine. It equates to 43.4 percent of the total number of people in Western Wisconsin. 98,025, or 35.7 percent, have completed the vaccine series.

Getting the other 60% of the state to get a shot, however, is proving difficult. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services on Tuesday reported 2.3 million people, or 40.4% of the state, have gotten one dose of the vaccine. DHS reported 1.6 million people, or 28% of the state, has gotten both doses. But DHS also reported that the total number of doses in the state fell last week. Doctors and nurses administered 330,164 doses, compared to 418,733 the week before. Last week’s dose total was the lowest in Wisconsin since mid-March.

Wisconsin Update: 27 8 percent of La Crosse Co residents have finished COVID-19 vaccine series

MADISON (WXOW) In Monday s update, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services said nearly 33,000 La Crosse County residents are done with the COVID-19 vaccination process. The DHS figures show that 51,571 people or 43.7 percent of residents of La Crosse County have had at least one dose of the vaccine. 32,856 people in La Crosse County or 27.8 percent completed the vaccine series according to the state. Numbers from DHS show 2,175,782 people in the state have received at least one dose of the vaccine. That translates to 37.4 percent of state residents according to DHS. The figures show that 1,423,723 people, or 24.5 percent of the state s population, are now fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
