Wisconsin Update: Over 35 percent of Western Wisconsin residents have started vaccination series

MADISON (WXOW) On Wednesday, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services said another 43,000 people started their COVID-19 vaccine series in the past day. Numbers from DHS show 1,987,677 people in the state have received at least one dose of the vaccine. That translates to 34.1 percent of state residents according to DHS. The figures show that 1,227,807 people, or 21.1 percent of the state s population, are now fully vaccinated for COVID-19. In Western Wisconsin to date, 98,979 people have received at least one dose of the vaccine. It equates to 36.1 percent of the total number of people in Western Wisconsin. 64,200, or 23.4 percent, have completed the vaccine series.

MADISON (WXOW) In its Thursday update, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services said another 45,000 Wisconsin residents started their COVID-19 vaccine series during the past day. Numbers from DHS show 1,810,361 people in the state have received at least one dose of the vaccine. That translates to 31.1 percent of state residents according to DHS. The figures show that 1,076,380 people, or 18.5 percent of the state s population, are now fully vaccinated for COVID-19. In Western Wisconsin to date, 90,407 people have received at least one dose of the vaccine. It equates to 32.9 percent of the total number of people in Western Wisconsin. 57,031, or 20.8 percent, have completed the vaccine series.
