Daily News staff State health officials Saturday indicated 23 new confirmed COVID-19 positives in Dickinson County since it last provided new figures Wednesday. Across the Upper Peninsula, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services’ coronavirus data site Saturday had 140 new confirmed coronavirus positives since its update before the holiday break: 40 in Marquette County; 23 in Dickinson County; 20 in Chippewa County; 14 in Menominee County; 13 in Houghton County; nine in Delta County; six in Iron County; five in Mackinac County; three in Alger County; two in Baraga and Gogebic counties; and one each in Keweenaw, Luce and Ontonagon counties. Marquette County had two new deaths, Dickinson and Ontonagon counties one each.
