DHS: 626 new positive cases of COVID-19 in Wisconsin, 3 new deaths By FOX6 News Digital Team Published  article MADISON, Wis. - The number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Wisconsin rose by 626 Wednesday, April 21, officials with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported, for a total of 592,262. Officials with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) reported three new deaths Wednesday, with a total of 6,721 deaths in the state. Of the positive cases, 28,764 have required hospitalization (4.9%), while 576,288 have recovered (97.3%), making for 9,009 active cases (1.5%). Wisconsin Update: 42,000 now done with COVID vaccinations

MADISON (WXOW) In its Wednesday update, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services provided figures that showed that 42,000 people are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19.  Numbers from DHS show 2,368,010 people in the state have received at least one dose of the vaccine. That translates to 40.7 percent of state residents according to DHS. The figures show that 1,677,592 people, or 28.8 percent of the state s population, are now fully vaccinated for COVID-19. In Western Wisconsin to date, 113,745 people have received at least one dose of the vaccine. It equates to 41.4 percent of the total number of people in Western Wisconsin. 83,138, or 30.3 percent, have completed the vaccine series.
