The president and CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of Dane County says their planned COVID-19 vaccination clinic this weekend is on hold following Tuesday’s announcement by the CDC and FDA they recommended pausing the use of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. “Given the recent development of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County clinic on Saturday at our Taft Street location is being paused until we get further direction from the CDC and our local health care partners,” president and CEO Michael Johnson said in a Facebook post Tuesday morning. “The Club will determine by Friday morning whether we will use another vaccine or cancel the clinic. Thanks for being patient with us as we explore our options.”
