Intruder throws ink at Somnath Bharti before being detained by police
A case was lodged in Uttar Pradesh’s Rae Bareli against AAP MLA from Delhi Somnath Bharti on the charge of threatening to kill U.P. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, said Rae Bareli Additional SP Vishwajeet Srivastava on Monday. He said a police team had reached the Irrigation Department guest house, where Mr. Bharti was staying, to arrest him regarding an earlier FIR lodged against him in Amethi on the charge of use of indecent language.
“Somnath Bharti used abusive language against the police team. He threatened he would strip the City Kotwal Rae Bareli of his uniform, and used foul language against the U.P. CM and threatened to kill him,” Mr. Srivastava said.

PRAYAGRAJ: Two officers of the Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) plant in Phulpur died while 16 other employees fell ill following an ammonia gas leak on Tuesday night.
The situation is said to be under control while Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced an ex gratia of Rs 4 lakh each for the bereaved families, reports Rajeev Mani.
The two technical officers who died in the accident are 47 year-old VP Singh and 57-year-old Abhai Nandan.

NEW DELHI, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) At least two people died and 15 injured after Ammonia gas leaked from a fertilizer manufacturing plant in India s northern Uttar Pradesh state, a local police official confirmed with Xinhua over phone on Wednesday.
The incident occurred late Tuesday night at the Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) in Uttar Pradesh s Phoolpur district. The accident took place in a urea processing unit. An ammonia plunger broke which led to the leakage of ammonia gas. The workers nearby were affected and were taken to the hospital, IFFCO Public Relations Officer Vishwajeet Srivastava was quoted as saying.
