This is to open up space in intensive care units (ICU) across the province as a record number of patients are being admitted to ICUs. According to the province, there are currently 2,350 Ontarians that are hospitalized with COVID-19, 806 patients in the ICU with a COVID-related illness, and 588 in ICU on a ventilator due to COVID-related illness.
