A Fort Dodge woman was arrested Thursday after police said she broke into a home and assaulted someone.
Daesha Green, 24, was charged with first-degree burglary, a Class B felony, after her arrest Thursday afternoon.
Fort Dodge Police said the Webster County Telecommunications Center received a burglary report at about 6:55 a.m. Thursday about an incident that had occurred earlier in the morning. Police said information gathered from the victim indicated that a woman forced her way into the residence and assaulted the victim before leaving.
Green is currently being held in the Webster County Jail. Her initial appearance is scheduled for 9 a.m. today in Webster County Magistrate Court.

The Fort Dodge man charged in the Oct. 29 robbery of the Casey’s General Store on North 15th Street has pleaded not guilty, according to a written arraignment filed Monday.
Aries McGee, 24, was charged with first-degree robbery, a Class B felony, and fifth-degree theft, a simple misdemeanor, after Fort Dodge Police said he flashed a handgun at the clerk and left with $282 from the cash register and safe.
The morning after the alleged robbery, he was arrested in a traffic stop after officers spotted the same vehicle seen at the crime scene in traffic on North 15th Street near Oakland Cemetery.
