A Fort Dodge woman was arrested Thursday after police said she broke into a home and assaulted someone.
Daesha Green, 24, was charged with first-degree burglary, a Class B felony, after her arrest Thursday afternoon.
Fort Dodge Police said the Webster County Telecommunications Center received a burglary report at about 6:55 a.m. Thursday about an incident that had occurred earlier in the morning. Police said information gathered from the victim indicated that a woman forced her way into the residence and assaulted the victim before leaving.
Green is currently being held in the Webster County Jail. Her initial appearance is scheduled for 9 a.m. today in Webster County Magistrate Court.

COALVILLE A Webster County woman was uninjured after her GMC Yukon SUV rolled into a ditch between Coalville and Kalo early Sunday morning.
According to Webster County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Derek Christie, Sarah Thompson, of Otho, was driving on Nelson Avenue just south of Coalville at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday when the vehicle slid off the road and rolled into the east ditch.
Christie said the responding deputy noted the “roads were pure ice” at the time.
Thompson was not injured in the accident and no other vehicles were involved. Due to road conditions, the SUV could not be towed right away and remained on its top in the ditch through Monday.

LEHIGH A Lehigh man is dead after his snowmobile crashed into a building and utility pole near Lehigh early Sunday morning.
According to Webster County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Tony Walter, Noah Ferguson, 31, was riding his snowmobile around 2:14 a.m. on Sunday when he collided with the side of a building and into a utility pole. Ferguson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Walter said it is unclear what caused Ferguson to crash.
The incident remains under investigation by the Webster County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.

Lehigh man dies in snowmobile accident
A Webster County man died in a weekend snowmobile accident.
Thirty-one-year-old Noah Ferguson of Lehigh died in the snowmobile crash early Sunday morning. The Webster County Sheriff’s Office says they received a report of the accident shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday.
The sheriff’s office says the accident occurred when Ferguson hit a utility pole near the Lehigh fire station. The crash remains under investigation.
