Public Health Wales publishes daily updates on coronavirus in Wales UPDATES on coronavirus case numbers, deaths and case rates in Wales have been delayed today. Planned maintenance of the NHS Welsh Laboratory Information Management System was carried out last weekend, to allow for essential service upgrades to take place, and Public Health Wales has said: “This is affecting our daily reporting of Coronavirus figures. “There is a delay, in incorporating data from the Lighthouse Laboratories [part of the network of labs that process test results], said a spokesman.

Wales coronavirus figures are going to be unreliable for several days, according to Public Health Wales. The NHS trust confirmed there would be a delay in publishing its daily Covid-19 infection rates, cases and deaths on Wednesday, December 16.

The First Minister Mark Drakeford has explained why today’s Level 4 announcement is covering all of Wales, rather than parts of Wales.
On Monday the revised control plan published by Welsh Government detailed a possible “national, regional or local” intervention, however the new Level Four restrictions will be initially for all of Wales, with a three week review thereafter.
