On Wednesday (06) Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar called on Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa, separately. Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and Prime Minister Rajapaksa discussed strengthening sectors of mutual benefit. The Opposition Leader had thanked the Indian External Affairs Minister for supporting the construction of houses during the tenure of the previous government.

Jaishankar told President Gotabaya Rajapaksa. The Indian Minister who arrived in the country yesterday (05) for a two-day visit, called on President Rajapaksa at the Presidential Secretariat today (06), President’s Media Division said. Commenting on the future course of action to control the COVID-19 pandemic President Rajapaksa stated that Sri Lanka would like to obtain the COVID-19 vaccine, which is being produced by India, following an accurate assessment of the need for treatment.
