A Guadalupe County court-at-law judge is accused of hitting his child with a door as he tried to gain access to a home while he was âheavily intoxicated,â according to court records.
Details that shine a light on the incident that led to a Guadalupe County Court At Law Judge William G. Squires IIIâs arrest are documented in an arrest report released on Monday.
A dispute with his wife holding their son, a locked and then unlocked door and an intoxicated Squires appear to have combined to land the judge in jail last week, according to the Hays County Law Enforcement Centerâs arrest report.
San Marcos police arrested a suspect for murder after discovering a deceased male on Jan. 19 at the Econo Lodge Hotel, marking the first homicide in San Marcos for 2021.Â
Upon being dispatched to the hotel located at 811 S. Guadalupe St., police identified the deceased male as 33-year-old Andreas Mihanpoor. Next of kin has been notified and a final autopsy from the Travis County Medical Examiner Office is currently pending.Â
After an investigation by the SMPD Criminal Investigation Division, police arrested a suspect on Jan. 21 without incident and have taken them to the Hays County Law Enforcement Center. A bond has yet to be set for the suspect.
