A Williamsburg man wanted on separate Whitley County arrest warrants charging him with attempting to pass a forged check and fleeing from police was arrested early Tuesday morning in Corbin. Williamsburg Police Officer Elijah Hunter took Justin L. Dodd, 32, into custody after locating him at a residence on Chestnut Street. Williamsburg police and Whitley County Sheriff’s deputies had each secured arrest warrants following the incidents on Feb. 19 and Feb. 21, respectively. According to the first warrant, Williamsburg police were called to Community Trust Bank on North Third Street in Williamsburg at approximately 4 p.m. According to the warrant, Dodd had allegedly passed a forged check at the Community Trust Bank on U.S. 25W on that day.

Officers stopped the pair on Highway 92 and Happy Hollow Road. During the stop, police say the driver, 23-year-old Tia Jackson of Detroit, Michigan, refused to get out of the vehicle. Officers ended up finding $9,000 in cash, a 9-millimeter handgun without a serial number, digital scales, oxycodone tablets, tobacco packets and marijuana. Jackson was arrested and charged with possession of a defaced firearm, trafficking in marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, speeding, reckless driving, and failure to produce insurance card. By Jarrod Mills Staff Writer Mar 2, 2021 Mar 2, 2021 WHITLEY COUNTY - A Corbin man accused of killing three people, one of whom was pregnant, was virtually present in Whitley County Circuit Court Monday, where his attorney filed a motion to have the cellphone of one of the victims transferred over to the defense. Paul Brock, 40, is accused of killing Mary Jackson, 74, and her pregnant granddaughter, Tiffany Byers, 33, at an Ellison Street residence in Corbin in February 2018. Brock was arrested on Feb. 18, 2018. The body of Byers husband, Aaron Byers, 45, was located in a shallow grave in a wooded area off Corinth Cemetery Road the following day.

At 2:19 a.m. Monday, WPD Officer Bryson Lawson and Officer Dorman Patrick Jr. arrested one individual and cited two others to court at Super 8 Motel following an investigation. Meth and drug paraphernalia were found inside the motel room during the officers investigation.
