Great Falls Public Schools announced Tuesday afternoon the school will reopen February 25. The school district had previously said students would be learning remotely through at least February 26. According to the district, the pipes had been fixed as of Tuesday and there is now adequate heat in the building. Whittier students will continue remote learning through next week MTN By: MTN News and last updated 2021-02-18 14:24:00-05 GREAT FALLS — Great Falls Public Schools announced on Thursday that Whittier Elementary School will remain closed through Friday, February 26, due to complications with frost damage to the plumbing and pipes, as well as extensive complications with the boiler and heating systems. The school closed earlier this week due to the frozen pipes. As a result, Whittier students will continue remote learning through February 26. GFPS said in a news release that packet drop-off and pick-up is scheduled for Monday, February 22, from 2-4 pm at the school, and the school office will remain open throughout the entire closure.
